Announcement Dear Valued Members, Further to our announcement dated 8 Dec 2009, we take pleasure to
apprise you that, after vigorous but efficient negotiation with the
Government and having regard to recent events surrounding the Legislative
Council’s pending funding approval of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong
Express Rail Link, we have been able to secure a short extension of operation
till the second day of the Chinese New Year (CNY, specifically till 15 Feb
2010 (the “Last Operation Date”*). Besides the fact that you can continue to enjoy our
facility, it also means that our employees will be able to stay on the job
for an extended period and our annual community event entertaining elderly
and under-privileged members of the community can go ahead as usual on the
second day of CNY, when we’d bid a proper farewell to the venue which
has provided us joy and fun over the last decade. Please save the date and come join us
on that special occasion. Details
will follow separately. Meanwhile, we’d encourage you to prepare well for exiting the
facility by the Last Operation Date the latest. Membership and Locker Rental fees will
be refunded, in accordance with the Club Bye-Laws, on a pro rata basis from the next day of the Last Operation Date to the
original expiry dates. The
detailed procedures of the Refund of Pro-rated Fees and the Form of Refund
